Rebecca is fantastic. She asked me some tough questions and then helped me – guided me – to discover the answers. The work is challenging and not always straightforward, but she pushes you to look at yourself - at how you are RIGHT NOW – and think hard about what you might want to do differently. Rebecca's coaching has been invaluable to me. After a frustrating and difficult experience at work she helped me to realise that I had a number of limiting beliefs about myself that needed to be looked at carefully in order to deal with them. I had been trying to fit myself into surroundings and environments that were not appropriate for me and that I was blaming myself for this. Rebecca was able to help me identify the direction I needed to go in to get to a point where I could be happier in my career. Since working with Rebecca I have allowed myself to believe that I can do what I feel passionate about, that it’s really OK to want to go out and do what I want to do. This is easy to read in a sentence but much harder to face when dealing with real personal fears, no matter how you got those fears, they have to be acknowledged before moving on.

In our supervision there has been a feeling of collaboration – that you are really in the work with me, Perhaps your supervision having been influenced by your coaching training has also led to your style being different from other supervision I have received. I don’t recall you ever attempting to engage me in diagnostic talk. That has been fabulous! You met me where I was and journeyed alongside rather than try and bring me into your frame of reference. At least, that’s what I have experienced. There were other detailed things that you did/said that were different, e.g. the opening & closing of sessions. Most strikingly was your use of immediacy – you disclosing how you were experiencing me ‘in the moment’ and that is to me what differentiates you from most with one exception – the fabulous supervisor I had in the past who did exactly this. Keep doing that, I believe that is hugely valuable and at the heart of supervision.

Rebecca and I have worked together several times in the past four years, tackling specific transitions within both my personal and my professional life. On several occasions our work together has been transformational and life changing for me. Rebecca brings clarity, humour and warmth to our sessions and working within her highly skilled and intuitive approach I have been swiftly able to identify what I needed to let go of, and choose exactly where I wanted to go next. With Rebecca's support I have benefited from making highly significant choices in both my home and work environments. If you are facing change, at work or in other areas of your life and are looking for achievable results, I would strongly urge you to work with this talented, empathetic practitioner.

Rebecca Hartnell is a perceptive, receptive, compassionate coach who won’t let you avoid your light or dark sides. She enables you to hold responsibility for yourself and the changes you need to make – she shines a warm light on the corners of yourself you didn't know were there and sits beside you with good humour as you peer into the places you were afraid to go alone. She is sharp, adaptable and generous.

Rebecca appeared to be able to gauge what I needed and wanted, a mixture of showing a lot of care and interest and plain speaking. I was impressed by her intuition and flexibility. Rebecca helped me to understand what motivates me and accept that I am better at what I do than I thought. I was given strategies about how I can reflect on what I need at times of doubt and lack of belief. Rebecca is intuitive and Sensitive. She is professional, determined but patient.

Having worked with Rebecca in 2010 when I was facing massive cultural and professional changes, I found her to be clear, kind and composed. She held great poise as we explored the options together and I experienced her has both ethical and extremely trustworthy. I have rebuilt my life in the past 4 years and Rebecca's compassionate intervention was the beginning of my reestablishing my own wellbeing and that of my family

‘Rebecca is remarkable. Throughout the coaching process I felt encouraged by Rebecca to take time to review and then supported to look at how I could implement actions identified in our sessions. Highly recommended - now on my speed dial setting for first port of call for professional coaching support.”

I could never have anticipated the process to be so powerful. The tasks and work that the brain and body does between sessions is amazing, surprising and subtle. Insightful/instinctive, Powerful, Positive. As a coach you are responsive and intuitive. I think you value people’s freedom, creativity, individuality and potential. You are opening a space/process and guiding rather than imposing ideas. There seems to be joy in the process for you and this is transferred to the person you are coaching. I believe you value confidentiality and create a safe space in which honest sharing can happen. I felt that Becks cleverly tailored the style of coaching to fit best with my personality and needs. Positive, the whole experience felt motivated and driven by joy, leading me towards what I really want and allowing me the permission to seek happiness. The style was enabling, nurturing and careful, as well as at times probing and provocative; challenging and pushing me to go deeper than I could have done alone and make new discoveries.

Rebecca’s coaching style is effective, insightful and supportive - it enables a coachee to feel secure enough to rattle bones in their psychic basements, and investigate difficult material in order to reconfigure themselves, and move towards more integrated and aware states of being. The coaching was extremely useful. The exercises and in particular, developing the Logical Levels document are powerful tools for revealing, then coming to terms with what can be self-obfuscated dynamics in one’s psyche. It’s the first time I’ve undertaken any kind of coaching and with Rebecca I felt in safe hands to venture into revelatory territory in order to significantly grasp fresh insights and plot a path toward more effective career development.
