Career Practicalities:

There comes a time ….When we need to go out and’ experience’ all that we have practiced within the safety of coaching, training, mentoring or supervision.

You can have the highest paid, most well/esteemed and highly qualified ‘professional support person’ in your corner, but, until you venture out alone and discover how you will best implement your new learning into your world, in your own way, it is worth zilch ….

Talking with a fellow coach colleague today, who herself is carving out a new profession niche, the feedback I found myself giving was ‘no woman is an island so go out and do what you do’. Until we practise all we have learned in theory, we sit in a void. Until we try out our new venture or approach or intervention, we have absolutely no idea how it will impact on the world. Until we allow ourself that reality, we are closed off to the learning, the impact, the effect, and the feedback we need in order to remain motivated.

When will you venture out & begin to reap your rewards?
